Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Overview

This Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions for cancellations, modifications, and refunds for yacht charter bookings made through Monaco Yachts. We understand that plans can change, and we strive to be as flexible as possible while protecting both clients and charter companies.

2. Standard Cancellation Policy

Unless otherwise specified by the yacht charter company, the following standard cancellation terms apply: | Time Before Charter | Refund Amount | |---------------------|---------------| | 60+ days | 100% (minus €100 admin fee) | | 30-59 days | 50% of total charter fee | | 15-29 days | 25% of total charter fee | | Less than 15 days | No refund | Important: Some yachts may have different cancellation terms. Always check the specific terms at the time of booking.

3. Flexible Cancellation Yachts

Select yachts offer more flexible cancellation terms, indicated by a "Flexible Cancellation" badge: | Time Before Charter | Refund Amount | |---------------------|---------------| | 14+ days | Full refund | | 7-13 days | 50% refund | | Less than 7 days | No refund Flexible cancellation may come with a slightly higher charter rate.

4. Deposits

4.1 Booking Deposit A deposit of 30-50% is typically required to confirm a booking. The deposit is non-refundable once the charter company confirms the booking. 4.2 Security Deposit (APA) The Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA) covers: • Fuel costs • Food and beverages • Marina fees • Other expenses Unused APA is refunded within 14 days after the charter ends.

5. Modifications

5.1 Date Changes • 30+ days notice: Free date change (subject to availability) • 15-29 days notice: €500 modification fee • Less than 15 days: Treated as cancellation 5.2 Yacht Changes Switching to a different yacht is subject to: • Availability of the new yacht • Price difference (you pay any increase) • €250 modification fee 5.3 Guest Changes Minor changes to guest list are usually free. Adding guests beyond yacht capacity is not permitted.

6. Refund Process

6.1 Requesting a Refund • Log into your account • Navigate to "My Bookings" • Select the booking and click "Request Cancellation" • Or email: refunds@monacoyachts.com 6.2 Processing Time • Credit card refunds: 5-10 business days • PayPal refunds: 3-5 business days • Bank transfer refunds: 10-15 business days Refunds are issued to the original payment method.

7. Force Majeure

In cases of force majeure (natural disasters, pandemics, war, etc.), we offer: • Full credit for future charter (valid 24 months) • Full refund (processing may take longer) Force majeure claims require: • Official documentation (government advisories, etc.) • Request within 7 days of the event

8. Charter Company Cancellations

If the charter company cancels: • You receive a full refund • We assist in finding an alternative yacht • Compensation may be offered (case by case) Reasons may include: • Yacht mechanical issues • Crew unavailability • Weather conditions (captain's discretion)

9. No-Show Policy

Failure to arrive for your charter without prior notice is considered a no-show. No-shows are not eligible for refunds or credits. If you're running late, contact us immediately to avoid being marked as a no-show.

10. Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance that covers: • Trip cancellation and interruption • Medical emergencies • Personal belongings • Emergency evacuation We can recommend specialist yacht charter insurance providers upon request.

11. Disputes

If you believe you're entitled to a refund not covered by this policy: 1. Contact our support team within 7 days 2. Provide documentation supporting your claim 3. We'll review and respond within 5 business days For unresolved disputes, you may contact Monaco Consumer Protection authorities.
